The Central Executive Committee in its meeting held on 12th July 2012 finalized the Election Schedule and appointed Election Commission for holding Annual Election for the year 2012-2013 of the Association in accordance to procedure and Bye-laws laid in Articles of Association.
Election of Executive Committee and Office Bearers
The Electoral College for each class of members of Executive Committee shall be the members of General Body from the respective class and Electoral College for Office Bearers shall be elected by the Executive Committee.
The election of the Executive Committee and Office Bearers
shall be held by secret
ballot and their final result shall be
officially announced at the Annual General Meeting
to be called for this purpose on Friday 28th September 2012.
The tenure of members of Executive Committee shall be two

The Election shall be held for
vacant seats as under:
Region A --- Corporate 2 and Associate 1
Region B ---
Corporate 1 and Associate 2
Past Chairman shall be an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee without
The term of elected Office Bearers shall be one year. On
completion of the term, the Office Bearers shall not be eligible to contest
election or co-option in any
capacity in Association for the next one year.
Eligibility to Vote
Eligibility of a
member to vote or to contest election shall be subjected to the following
The member has completed two years of valid membership of association as on the date of announcement of Election Schedule by the Executive Committee of the Association; and
The member has fulfilled the conditions of Renewal of Membership as on 31.03.2012.
- Every member eligible to vote shall deposit with the Secretary General, the specimen signature card (enclosed) along with photograph indicating the status in the firm, company or concern. The right to vote shall be allowed only to the proprietor, partner or Director of the member firm or company, or a person not below the rank of General Manager authorized by the Board of Directors of a public limited company or a multi-national corporation, as the case may be.
The proprietor, partner or Director of the member firm or company, concern or person not below the rank of General Manager authorized by Board of Directors of public limited company or a multinational company shall be entitled to cast vote at the time of election only if name of such person has already been registered with the Secretary General and his name appears on the list of voters.
The election of association shall be conducted according to
the procedure given below:

Within three (3) days of the announcement of the election schedule member firm desiring to change their representative shall intimate changes regarding name of representative to the Secretary General along with necessary proof of eligibility.
The Secretary General of association shall display provisional
list on 27.07.2012. of all members eligible to vote along with their national
tax number, the name and national identity card number of their representative.
The list shall be displayed on the Notice Board of the Head Office and Regional
Office of association and website
The members who have any objection to the entries in the
list of voters shall send their objections in writing to the Secretary General
within 7 days.
The Secretary General will intimate action on the
objections or changes sent by
Members within 5 days.
Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Secretary
General may make a
representation, within three (3) days to
the election commission which shall decide the
case within three (3) days.
Within three (3) days of decision by the Commission or in
case the Commission fails to decide within the stipulated time, any person
aggrieved by the decision of the commission may appeal to the Director General Trade
Organisations who shall decide the case within 10 days and his decision in this
regard shall be final.
Within two (2) days of the decision of the Director
General Trade Organisations, the final voter's list shall be displayed at the
Notice Board of the Head Office Karachi and Regional Office Lahore and Zonal
Office Sialkot, and at website of Association on 27.08.2011.
Election for Executive Committee
Within four (4) days
of the display of the final list of voters, any person who is eligible to
contest the election for the vacant post, shall send his nomination duly
proposed and seconded by a duly registered voter and signed by the candidate to
the Secretary General on the prescribed form (enclosed).
The Nomination papers
should reach Head Office ACAAP on or before 3rd September 2012
latest upto 04:00 PM.
Within twenty four (24) hours of receipt of nomination
papers, a copy of the final list of voters shall be provided to each contesting

commission and list of candidates
shall be displayed within twenty four hours
i.e. 07.09.2011 of the last date of receipt of
The objections if any, to the nomination of the candidate
can be filed to the election
commission within twenty four (24) hours of
issuance of the list of candidates which
shall be decided by the election commission within 2 days.
Within two days of decision of the Commission or in case
the commission fails to decide within the stipulated time, any candidate
aggrieved by the decision of the commission may file an appeal to the Director
General Trade Organisations, who shall decide within seven (7) days and his
decision in this regard shall be final.
Final list of contesting candidates for the election of Central
Executive Committee will be displayed on 17.09.2012.
Within five (5) days of display of final -list of
candidates, the polling for election of
members of Executive Committee shall be
held on 22.09.2012.
Within two (2) days of the polling any person elected as
member of Executive Committee, shall send his nomination for election as an
Office Bearer duly proposed and seconded by an elected Executive Committee
member and signed by the candidate to the Election commission.
The final list of contesting candidates for Office Bearers
will be displayed on 26.09.2012,
The polling for election of Office Bearers shall be held
on 28th September 2012,
between 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM, at Head

Committee and Office Bearers shall be officially announced at the Annual
General Body Meeting of Association to be called for this purpose on 28 .09.2011 at 04:00 PM.
Provisional result maybe declared by the Commission
immediately after counting of vote completed.
In event of equality of votes between two or more
candidates the result shall be decided on the basis of draw conducted by
Polling Officer in presence of the candidates or polling agents and the record of
result there of shall be recorded.

Any person who is eligible to contest the election for the
vacant posts (in each region) shall send his nomination for election for member
of Executive Committee on Original prescribed proforma.

Candidate shall be duly proposed and seconded by duly
registered/eligible voters of the same Region and signed by the candidate and to
be sent to the Secretary General and the proposal should have consent of member
agency whose name has been proposed.
Nomination Proforma should be filled in Original and be
complete in all respects. Incomplete Proforma will be invalid.
Photocopy of proforma will not be accepted.
Any cutting erasing or over writing shall make the
Nomination papers for Election of Central Executive Committee should
be dispatched either by Registered post or maybe delivered by hand in a way
that it should reach ACAAP’s Head office at address given below latest by 3rd
September 2012 up to 04:00 PM:
